About
As a natural problem solver, I approach programming with a sense of excitement and opportunity. Because of this [and my lifelong fascination with computers] I’ve chosen to become a software engineer, gaining fluency in JavaScript, React, Redux, Node.js, Ruby, Rails, GraphQL, MongoDB, PostgresQL, Apollo, jQuery, HTML and CSS.
For almost two years, I had the opportunity to share my passion for development as an instructor and technical coach at App Academy, a highly selective, immersive full-stack web development course. Through this work, I was able to develop leadership skills while project managing the development of full-stack applications, and gain confidence in my ability to communicate and simplify complex concepts.
In past lives, I have worked as an actor and writer, and I have always enjoyed learning about other cultures through travel. This sense of creativity and curiosity informs all parts of my life, and programming is no exception.
